The power of swimming lessons

Swimming lessons are the best way for both children and adults to learn essential water safety skills. You’ll learn a range of survival techniques, build confidence in and around water, and deepen your water safety knowledge. This helps children and adults gain lifelong skills while also helping you, as a parent, to better support your family’s safety.

If your or your child haven’t taken lessons before (or need a refresher), check out swimming lessons at Y Victoria and Kingswim. With lessons for all ages and abilities, as well as locations across Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney, you can find lessons for the whole family!

What’s more, the Y offers funded swimming lessons through Y Open Doors for families needing financial support. Families can also apply for Active Kids vouchers, which provide $200 for children to to take part in activities like swimming lessons. The vouchers can be redeemed at both Kingswim and the Y!
